The Time Away From Work Landscape is in Constant Flux
Based on findings from MMA ADL’s 2019 Leaves of Absence Survey:
- >22 states have current or pending paid-leave legislation.
- 18% of large employers offer unlimited leave to a portion of their workforce.
- 22% of employers offer paid-family leave, a 10% increase from two years ago. Of those companies that offer paid-family leave, 45% provide 12 weeks, followed by two weeks and four weeks (both at 15%).
- 77% of employers who provide adoption leave offer financial support to employees, with two-thirds providing a benefit equal to or greater than $5,000.
